Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS), also referred to as Sound and Intercom Systems for Emergency Purposes, enable building fire wardens to manage both manual and automated evacuations. EWIS can be tailored to facilitate staged evacuations according to the requirements of the building’s Emergency Control Organisation. Wardens can communicate with each other throughout the facility using a network of installed warden intercom phones (WIPs).
